The Warehouse Attendant plays an integral role within the Retail team, and is relied upon by the Warehouse Supervisor and the eCommerce Manager to ensure the smooth operations of the warehouse areas.
To be successful in this role, you will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and this role suits a person with a positive attitude, high energy levels, confidence and solid organisational skills.
The role will involve all aspects of receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods, and organising and maintaining inventory and storage areas.
This role will work closely and cohesively within the Retail Department and management to support the operational requirements.
Duties Include:
- Monitor warehouse inventory stock levels and advise the Retail Buyer of reordering requirements.
- Coordinate stock deliveries from suppliers into the warehouse ensuring stock delivered matches delivery note/invoice paperwork.
- Support retail store locations with the delivery of stock orders.
- Pick, pack and deliver indent stock requested through warehouse transfer orders.
- Utilise stock management software for receipt of purchase orders, transferring stock and stock inventory control processes.
- Support receipt or dispatch of goods for other departments and contact relevant zoo personnel as needed.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles; accepting delivery of inventory; counting and confirming inventory; inspecting inventory for damage and faults; communicating errors to relevant parties.
- Maintain a tidy and well-organised stock storage system, including management of non-inventory items stored in the warehouse.
- Marking and labelling stock for easy location within the warehouse.
- Support the ecommerce team as required.
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the warehouse and workstation/s.
- Have the ability to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, local businesses and suppliers.
- Achieve targets and KPI’s as determined by Retail Management Team.
- Daily/weekly briefings with supervisors to discuss any performance or operation issues.
- Support store locations to assist with stock management as needed.
- Liaising with the Workplace, Health and Safety Advisor in regards to health and safety processes, accidents,reporting.
Essential Criteria:
- The availability to work on a 7 day rotating roster including weekends and Public Holidays with morning or afternoon.
- Current Australian Drivers License.
Preferred Criteria:
- Forklift License
