Position Title: Painter

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year

About the Role
We are recruiting a skilled Painter to carry out high-quality work on residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be competent in surface preparation, paint application, colour matching, safety procedures, and must consistently deliver excellent finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, priming, and repairing imperfections
- Apply paint, coatings, varnishes, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Mix and match colours to achieve accurate finishes
- Interpret and follow drawings, project specifications, and client requirements
- Maintain safe and clean work environments
- Protect work areas through masking, drop sheets, and equipment setup
- Operate ladders, scaffolding, and tools safely and efficiently
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project timelines
- Adhere to all WHS safety requirements
Required Skills & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as a professional painter
- Strong understanding of coating systems, surface preparation, and finishing
- Ability to work at heights and use access equipment safely
- Reliability and attention to detail
- Mandatory certifications:
- White Card
- Asbestos Awareness Card
- Silica Awareness Training/Card
