The Role
West Byford PS is currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Primary Teacher with specialisation in Health and Physical Education (HPE) to join our dedicated team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver the HPE curriculum across Pre-Primary to Year 6. The successful applicant will ideally work closely with another HPE team member to meet the diverse needs of our large school community, while should be confident in working independently when required.
We are ideally looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about fostering high-quality teaching and learning experiences in HPE and Wellbeing. The successful applicant should be energetic, committed, and driven to engage students in physical activities that promote overall health.
This specialist role should display exceptional organisational skills to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate school-wide sporting events,
including our annual Athletics and Cross-Country Carnivals, interschool sports, and other extracurricular activities.
Additionally, it would be important the successful applicant build respectful and professional relationships with the Byford Sporting Schools Association - a collaborative network of HPE teachers from five local schools. Working closely with this group, the HPE Teacher will ideally help organise and facilitate interschool sporting carnivals, promoting teamwork and cooperation within the community.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to form positive relationships with students, ensuring a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. The successful applicant should be skilled in differentiating instruction to meet the complex needs of all students, providing each child with the opportunity to thrive in physical education activities.
