We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a cooperative operations team responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise Linux environments, Azure cloud infrastructure, monitoring platforms, and business-critical services.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to a Linux-focused engineer who also has practical experience supporting Azure cloud services. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of infrastructure platforms while supporting ongoing operational and project-based activities.

While flexible and remote working arrangements are available, the successful candidate will be required to spend an initial onboarding period onsite in Canberra to support knowledge transfer activities and integration with the broader team.

Key Responsibilities

- Support and maintain enterprise Linux server environments
- Perform patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance activities
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and operational issues
- Support Azure cloud infrastructure and services
- Assist with application deployments, upgrades, and platform maintenance
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
- Support security, compliance,



and vulnerability remediation activities
- Collaborate with engineers, support teams, and stakeholders to ensure reliable service delivery

Essential Skills & Experience

- Experience administering and supporting Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar)
- Practical experience supporting Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management capability
- Understanding of networking, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure fundamentals
- Experience working within operational support or infrastructure environments
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Additional Experience

- Azure administration, monitoring, and support
- Experience with Grafana, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or similar monitoring platforms
- Red Hat Satellite administration and lifecycle management
- Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting
- Automation experience using Ansible and/or Terraform
- Experience supporting secure or regulated environments
- Exposure to security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance frameworks

Security Requirements

- Current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance (minimum requirement)
