About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Owner to join one of our product teams. You’ll help shape the product’s strategy and roadmap, work closely with our UX designer and developers to design and deliver new features, and make sure what we ship meets a high bar for quality as we enter an exciting period of growth. It’s a role that sits between our users, our stakeholders and the team, with real input into what we build and why. This is a permanent full-time role initially based in our Leederville office, with a transition to be based out of SLR Consulting’s Subiaco office, mid next year.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap, working with the leadership team and key stakeholders
- Lead feature discovery with users and stakeholders, and turn what you learn into clear specifications
- Collaborate with our UX designer and developers to design features that solve real problems
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that developers, and increasingly AI agents, can pick up and implement
- Review work before release to make sure it meets our quality bar and does what it set out to do
- Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of our processes and systems, including leveraging AI
- undefined Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years of experience working in a SaaS product team, solving complex problems
- Great communication skills, and comfort working with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
- A technical background, so you can contribute to technical discussions and appreciate technical challenges
- A strong product mindset: you start from the user’s problem, not the solution
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile team (Jira or similar)
- A hands-on approach to quality: you test features yourself before they reach users
- A focus on continuous improvement, in the product and in how the team works
- Experience using AI tools in your product workflow, and curiosity about where they add the most value Desirable
- Background in/exposure to environmental or scientific domains
- Experience with geospatial or remote sensing data Our Benefits Based in the heart of Leederville,
we offer
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience and expertise
- Flexible work arrangements and a strong focus on work-life balance
- Paid parental leave for primary and secondary carers
- The opportunity to help shape a growing global technology product and customer success function Next Steps The problems here are genuinely engaging. You'll be working with proprietary ML solutions applied to real ecological data, in a domain where the technical challenges and the environmental stakes are both real. The team is small and experienced, which means less overhead and more ownership, and our recent acquisition by SLR Consulting gives us a global platform from which to scale. Apply with your CV if you’d like to grow alongside a business doing something that matters.
