Role Overview We are seeking a Backend Systems Engineer with 6+ years of commercial experience to design, scale, and optimize high-reliability data persistence layers, core business logic, and API integration pipelines. In this role, you will work on mission-critical operational systems, maintaining database integrity, optimizing SQL query performance, and ensuring seamless data synchronization between central database backends and edge clients.

Key Responsibilities
- API & Data Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services for system integrations.
- Database Optimization & Management: Schema design, migration execution, and performance tuning for high-throughput relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- System Testing & Reliability: Develop automated unit and integration test suites (JUnit / Jest) to maintain strict security, accuracy, and performance standards.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Lead root-cause analysis, debugging, and continuous improvement for production backend services. Mandatory Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Minimum 6+ years of skilled backend software development experience.
- Database Architecture: Proven experience with PostgreSQL / SQL, schema migrations, and performance optimization.
- API Development: Extensive experience building, testing, and securing enterprise REST APIs.
- Automated Testing: Demonstrated mastery of automated testing frameworks for unit and integration tests. Desirable / Advantageous Skills
- Exposure to modern full-stack frameworks (TypeScript, Next.js, or React Native).
- Experience with offline data synchronization patterns or ORM tooling (Drizzle ORM).
- Background in mining operations, logistics, or industrial enterprise software. Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year Work
