Lead the organisation’s next chapter

St John’s Crisis Centre and Sanctuary Coast Property provide crisis relief, food programs, emergency and domestic violence accommodation, and community support. We seek a General Manager who can translate the Board’s strategy into effective operations, solid financial management and high-quality services.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will lead staff and volunteers and work closely with the Business Development Manager, who leads external funding, growth and stakeholder relationships.

What you will lead

- Implementation of Board-approved strategy and operational priorities.
- Budgets, forecasts, financial controls and clear Board reporting.
- Governance, risk,



regulatory compliance and grant acquittals.
- People leadership, workforce planning (paid and volunteer) and performance.
- Property, housing, capital projects and service quality.
- Practical systems improvements, including responsible automation and AI.

What you will bring

You bring senior operational leadership experience in a not-for-profit, community services or similarly regulated environment, with strong financial and people management skills. You are comfortable advising a Board, managing competing priorities and improving how an organisation works. Property, housing or capital-project experience would be valuable. We welcome established leaders and experienced managers ready for broader organisational leadership.

Remuneration and flexibility

The indicative full-time package is $140,000-$151,000 including superannuation, negotiable and subject to applicable Award minimum entitlements.
