Our client is a leading independent Australian law firm with a strong national presence and a growing Banking & Finance practice.

The Team

The Banking & Finance team advises leading financial institutions, lenders and investors on complex financing transactions, with a particular focus on securitisation, structured finance and sophisticated funding arrangements.

Lawyers within the team benefit from direct Partner access, hands-on transaction experience and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of an expanding specialist practice.

The Role

An excellent opportunity exists for a Solicitor/Senior Associate (2+ PAE) to join a growing Banking & Finance practice in Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra, with other Australian locations also considered.

Working closely with an experienced Banking & Finance Partner and a collaborative team, you will:

- Act for major banks, non-bank lenders, financial institutions, investment funds and corporate clients.
- Assist with structuring, negotiating and executing complex funding arrangements and capital markets transactions.
- Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate with clients,



counterparties and other advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Work directly with clients and develop commercial relationships across the banking and finance sector.

About you

Ideally, you will have 2+ Years post admission experience as a Solicitor through to Senior Associate level, gained within a well-regarded Banking & Finance, Capital Markets or Structured Finance practice.

Additionally, you will have:

- Experience in securitisation, structured finance, debt capital markets, derivatives or other complex financing transactions.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and technical legal skills.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a growing team.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach and an interest in developing specialist expertise and contributing to the growth of the practice.
