Production & Garment Technical Coordinator – Rockwear

We're looking for an experienced Production & Garment Technical Coordinator to join the Rockwear team based in Sydney.

This is a hands-on role within the Production team, combining end-to-end production coordination, supplier management and garment technical expertise.

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping product moving from development through to bulk delivery, while providing technical support across fit, construction, specifications and garment quality.

We are looking for someone who doesn't simply follow a process. You will be expected to take ownership, challenge timelines, question existing processes and find smarter and more efficient ways of working.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Production & Critical Path

Own and drive the end-to-end critical path from development through to bulk delivery, including Lab Dips, trims, strike-offs, fabric approvals, samples and bulk production.

Proactively identify risks and act before deadlines are missed.

Challenge supplier lead times, production plans and delivery dates, with a focus on shortening lead times without compromising quality.

Manage sample submissions, approvals and production milestones to protect agreed delivery dates, including Marketing, Digital and Ad sample requirements.

Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance and confidently challenge suppliers when expectations are not being met.





Take ownership of production issues and work with suppliers and internal teams to find practical solutions.

Proactively communicate risks and recommend solutions rather than simply reporting problems.

Ensure all production information in 3 Clicks is accurate and up to date, including critical path dates, costing, PO information, delivery dates and supplier updates.

Garment Technical

Provide technical guidance throughout product development and production.

Review and complete Tech Packs, including size specifications, measurements, construction details and technical comments.

Measure and inspect samples for fit, sizing, workmanship and construction and attend fittings as required.

Communicate fit and technical comments clearly to suppliers and follow through until resolved.

Review patterns, grading, garment construction and fabric/garment testing reports and provide technical recommendations where required.

Work closely with the Senior Garment Technician, Product and Production teams to resolve technical issues and maintain an efficient workflow.

Ensure technical changes are accurately communicated to suppliers and reflected in production documentation.

Balance technical requirements, cost, quality and delivery when making production decisions.





Challenge existing processes and question whether we are working in the most efficient way.

Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce unnecessary development and approval rounds and improve supplier communication.

Work with suppliers to identify alternative construction, fabric or production solutions where appropriate.

Look for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and support lead time and delivery targets.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone with:

4–7 years' experience in women's fashion, preferably women's activewear and/or cut-and-sew garments.

Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, fit and measurements.

Proven experience managing production critical paths and supplier relationships.

Experience across products such as activewear, cut & sew tops, hoodies, woven jackets and bottoms.

Robust understanding of Tech Packs and garment specifications.

Ability to confidently communicate technical comments and production requirements to overseas suppliers.

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost, quality and delivery.

Excellent organisation, time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset.

High energy and motivation to get the job done.

Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently, take ownership and contribute positively to the wider team.
