Simplex Co. Pty Ltd is an established construction company with a diverse pipeline of commercial and government projects. We specialise in external cladding, remediation, partitions, ceilings and internal fit-out works.
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, take ownership of tender submissions and support our continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to assess project scope.
- Complete quantity take-offs and identify project risks, exclusions and opportunities.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to clarify requirements.
- Work with our Estimating Manager to develop pricing strategies and meet tender deadlines.
- Prepare handover documentation for successful tenders and communicate scope and pricing assumptions to the delivery team.
About you
- Proven estimating experience in construction, preferably across cladding,
remediation or internal fit-out works.
- Ability to manage estimates independently from initial review through to tender submission.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam or similar estimating and take-off software.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and robust analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines.
- Strong English communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- A proactive approach, a willingness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude.
