In this full-time, mobile role, you’ll partner with residential aged care services to drive quality, strengthen safety and support compliance. Working closely with Service Managers and local teams, you’ll help maintain quality assurance frameworks, coordinate and support audits, oversee complaint and incident management processes, and embed sustainable continuous improvement practices across our services.

You’ll be based at one of our residential aged care services, with regular travel to other locations, including a minimum of two overnight stays per month, to support teams and drive consistent quality outcomes across the region.

About the role

As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you’ll provide specialist clinical quality advice, coaching and support to operational teams, helping each service meet regulatory requirements and deliver safe, person-centred care. This is a hands-on role for an RN who enjoys building capability, working collaboratively and turning quality data, audits and feedback into practical improvement actions.

What you’ll be doing

- Providing clinical quality improvement advice and coaching to Service Managers and local facility teams.
- Maintaining and supporting service quality assurance frameworks, systems and processes.
- Coordinating and supporting audits, quality reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Reviewing hazards, incidents, complaints and clinical risks to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Partnering with facilities to prepare for and respond to compliance requirements, including PSATs and accreditation-related activities.
- Supporting the development of clear, timely and person-centred complaint responses.
- Using clinical and operational data to guide practical improvement plans and monitor progress.
- Building team capability through education, mentoring and reflective practice.
- Participate and comply with all quality management systems and processes.

About you

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience within the Residential Aged Care Sector within a similar position.
- Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, compliance or audit within aged care, health or a related setting.
- Strong understanding of aged care quality standards,

risk, incident and complaints management.
- Confidence partnering with service leaders and influencing change through coaching, collaboration and practical guidance.
- Robust written communication skills, including the ability to support clear complaint responses and quality documentation.
- Ability to analyse data, identify themes and support evidence-based improvement actions.
- Current driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle for travel when required.

What we offer you

- A rewarding career with a leading human services organisation.
- Up to $18,550 NFP salary packaging available.
- Access to our U rewards program with exclusive discounts.
- Access to Fitness Passport – Live your best life.
- A supportive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
- A commitment to offer opportunities to grow your career.
- Purchase of additional leave.
