Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a state government client to support them in recruiting for a Communications Officer (Design Support) on a 6-month contract (with extension potential) based in Nerang on the Gold Coast.

About the role

- Pay rate of $62.90 per hour + super
- 6-month contract with possible extension, immediate start
- Full time, based in Nerang
- Design, lay out and produce branded collateral including flyers, fact sheets, newsletters, infographics, project maps, reports and presentations
- Provide administrative support for stakeholder engagement activities, including note taking, records management and database upkeep
- Coordinate procurement of design products, services and imagery through established approval processes
- Manage a high-volume shared workload across the region using project management tools

Preferred Requirements





- Proven ability to produce quality work quickly in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting
- Exceptional attention to detail across multiple projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with graphic design software, ideally Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of state government processes and policies
- Strong stakeholder relationship and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and industry experience
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal history check
