As a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the Navy, you will oversee day-to-day operations including everything from communications and navigation to combat and weapons management, as well as tactical deployment of the submarine.

Your typical day could see you in charge of any of the following:

- Leading and managing teams
- Onboard weapons systems management
- Driving the vessel and charting its position
- Communications and intelligence equipment operation

Your training will first equip you with technical expertise in propulsion, the platform, and its equipment. You will then move into your submarine qualification and oversee day-to-day operations, and you may one day lead the entire crew as Commanding Officer.

Salary:

Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you’ll enjoy a salary package starting from $138,356 per annum.

- For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of appointment, an Australian Citizen, have completed Year 12
