Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will focus on developing strong customer relationships. Our customer base is made up of local farmers, primary producers and rural customers and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers either in store or over the telephone. - Manage inventory, order goods, receive deliveries, and arrange dispatches using store systems to ensure stock accuracy.
- Process counter sales accurately, handle payments, and answer customer inquiries.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
- Support promotional activities, setting up signage and displays to boost product visibility.
- Keep the store tidy and welcoming and greet all customers warmly.
- Load/unload trucks, unpack deliveries, and prepare orders for dispatch with care.
- Occasionally deliver products directly to farms,
ensuring timely and professional service.
What You'll bring:
- You must demonstrate a passion for customer service as well as a positive approach and the determination to succeed
- Ideally you will have exposure to or a strong passion in farming and agriculture with the enthusiasm to learn about new products
- Previous success in a retail sales or customer service role is highly advantageous
- You will be a self-motivated person capable of nurturing and sustaining strong customer relationships with the ability to follow through and “get the job done” in a rapid-paced environment
- You will be keen to learn all aspects of retail operations and sales, and be confident using computer software systems.
- You will have a current driver’s license and ideally a forklift ticket (Desirable). HR driver's licence would be advantageous. Applicants willing to obtain Forklift and HR licences are also encouraged to apply.
- A current driver’s licence is essential. A forklift licence is required for the role, but support will be provided to obtain one if needed. A HR licence is desirable but not essential.
What we offer:
- A competitive remuneration package.
- Ongoing training and opportunities to develop your skills.
- Support from an experienced and knowledgeable team.
- The opportunity to build your career within the agricultural industry.
- A varied role where you can make a genuine contribution to our customers and local farming community.
