VeriPower is a Melbourne based HV substation testing and commissioning business. We're looking for experienced testing and commissioning personnel to join our team on transmission and sub-transmission projects in Australia's rapidly developing power system.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, carry out and document testing and commissioning activities on 22-500kV projects
- Manage and prove electrical drawings
- Perform standalone testing of primary equipment, including CBs, CTs and VTs using Omicron Primary Test Manager and associated hardware
- Perform testing of protection and control relays using Doble Protection Suite and Omicron Test Universe and associated hardware
- Perform testing of the integrated primary and secondary systems to verify overall performance
- Work within carefully planned, time constrained outages
- Energise substation equipment and perform energisation and on load checks
- Complete commissioning test records, technical reports and other project documentation for project completion and handover
- Complete commissioning test records,

- Work with clients and other project teams to resolve technical issues on site
- Follow site safety requirements and approved test procedures
About you
- 5+ years' experience testing and commissioning protection relays and HV equipment in project environments
- Advanced Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Power Systems/Electrical Engineering
- High levels of commitment to compliance, quality and accountability
- The ability to work independently on site and communicate well with clients and colleagues
- A willingness to travel to project sites as required
