About the Role:

ARKS Foodco Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join its team, offering a salary range of AUD $80,000 – $90,00 per annum plus superannuation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail establishment, ensuring efficient store performance, maintaining high customer service standards, and achieving business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, organisational, and commercial skills to manage staff, inventory, sales, and operational activities effectively.

Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Mad Mex restaurant to ensure efficient, effective and profitable business performance.
- Determine appropriate product mix, stock levels and service standards to meet customer demand and the operational requirements of the restaurant.
- Plan and implement purchasing, inventory and marketing strategies in accordance with business objectives and established operational policies.
- Monitor product pricing, promotional offers and menu-related pricing to support sales, competitiveness and profitability.
- Coordinate and implement promotional and marketing activities to promote the restaurant's food, products and services and increase customer engagement.




- Conduct and oversee the sale of food and beverages to customers and ensure customers receive appropriate information regarding menu items, ingredients, product options and dietary requirements.
- Monitor daily and periodic sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales, revenue and profitability targets.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, stock movements, wastage, sales activities and financial transactions.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, operational costs and expenditure to support the financial objectives of the restaurant.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, receiving, storage, stock rotation, stocktake and monitoring of food and packaging supplies.
- Control the recruitment, selection, training, rostering, supervision and performance of restaurant staff to maintain effective workforce performance.
- Establish and maintain high standards of customer service and respond to customer enquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional manner.
- Ensure the restaurant complies with occupational health and safety, food safety, hygiene, workplace and other relevant legislative requirements and company policies.
- Monitor restaurant operations and prepare operational and performance reports, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service standards, sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

- Diploma qualification in Business, Retail Management,



or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in retail management
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, sales techniques, and customer service principles.
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, stock control, and business performance monitoring.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, train, and manage staff effectively.
- Strong understanding of retail marketing practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship management skills.
- Solid organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and standard business applications.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, customer service, and operational excellence.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
