About Us

Paradise Fish Shop is a new fish and chip shop in the heart of Burleigh Heads, founded by chef Jason Barratt, formerly of Supernormal Brisbane, Paper Daisy and Hector's Deli.

We're bringing a fresh perspective to the traditional Australian fish and chip shop, with a strong focus on exceptional local seafood, quality ingredients and everything made with care.

Our menu celebrates the classics, from freshly battered fish and hand-cut chips to house-made dim sims, sandwiches and seasonal salads.

We're building a kitchen team that takes pride in its work, values consistency and enjoys being part of a busy, energetic environment.

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and reliable Full-Time Chef to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on position working across all areas of the kitchen, including daily preparation, seafood handling, frying, cooking and service.

You'll be working with high-quality Australian seafood and fresh produce in a fast-paced kitchen where attention to detail, organisation and consistency are essential.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen




- Strong cooking skills and a genuine interest in quality seafood
- Excellent preparation, organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Sound understanding of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen procedures
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
- Pride in producing consistently great food
