Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Arcade Games Technician with proven technical expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining arcade games and amusement equipment.
The ideal candidate must have practical, hands-on experience in electronic circuit board repairs, PCB troubleshooting, component-level repairs, and arcade machine fault diagnosis. This role requires someone who can identify, and repair complex technical faults rather than simply replace faulty parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair arcade games, amusement machines, and electronic gaming equipment.
- Perform PCB and electronic circuit board repairs, including component-level fault finding and replacement.
- Identify and repair faults involving capacitors, resistors, ICs, transistors, MOSFETs, voltage regulators, connectors, and other electronic components.
- Troubleshoot power supply circuits, control boards, display boards, I/O boards, and communication interfaces.
- Carry out soldering, desoldering, surface-mount component replacement, and through-hole component repairs.
- Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
- Repair and maintain arcade machine hardware, wiring, sensors, buttons, joysticks, monitors, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot ticket redemption systems, coin and card readers, payment systems, and other peripherals.
- Perform preventative maintenance, equipment testing, and safety inspections.
- Maintain repair records, document recurring faults, and manage spare parts.
- Minimise machine downtime and ensure all equipment operates safely and reliably.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as an Arcade Technician, Electronics Technician,
or similar technical repair role.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience repairing arcade machine PCBs and electronic circuit boards.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuit operation, and board-level troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose faults down to the component level, not just replace complete boards or modules.
- Practical experience with soldering, desoldering, and replacing faulty electronic components.
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience using electronic diagnostic tools, including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Strong understanding of power supplies, digital circuits, control systems, and electronic interfaces.
- Good mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to repair arcade machine hardware.
- A methodical approach to fault finding, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage repair priorities, and meet service deadlines.
Desirable Skills
- Experience repairing commercial arcade machines, redemption games, simulators, and amusement equipment.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, firmware, communication protocols, and embedded electronic systems.
- Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT/SMD) component repair.
- Familiarity with card readers, and cashless payment systems (Intercard).
- Experience sourcing compatible electronic components and diagnosing obsolete or hard-to-find boards.
What We Offer
- A hands-on role working with a wide range of arcade and amusement technologies.
- A supportive working workplace.
- Opportunities to develop specialist repair and diagnostic skills.
If you have the technical expertise to diagnose and repair complex electronic faults and keep arcade equipment running reliably, we want to hear from you.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
