About the Collie Family Centre

The Collie Family Centre is a local not-for-profit organisation providing community programs, activities, counselling and support services to the Collie community.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated cleaner to join our small, friendly team and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits and uses the Centre.

About the Position

This is a permanent part-time position of 14 hours per fortnight (7 hours per week), including approximately 1.5 hours each Saturday, with the remaining hours worked during the week.

Some flexibility with working hours is desirable, including early morning or late afternoon cleaning to accommodate activities and programs at the Centre.

The successful applicant will work largely independently and be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Centre.

Duties include:

- General cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, activity areas and shared spaces.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, bathrooms and kitchen facilities.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and dusting.
- Emptying bins and disposing of rubbish.
- Cleaning frequently touched surfaces and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies.
- Setting up or moving chairs and light furniture when required.
- Safely using and storing cleaning products and equipment.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.

About You





We are looking for someone who:

- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work.
- Has positive attention to detail and can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Is available to work regular Saturday hours.
- Can manage their time effectively and complete cleaning duties to a consistent standard.
- Understands the importance of privacy, confidentiality and respecting others.
- Has a friendly and respectful attitude towards staff, visitors and community members.
- Can safely undertake the physical requirements of general cleaning duties.
- Is willing to follow workplace health and safety procedures and undertake any necessary training.

Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. This position requires a criminal history check.
