Snorkelling Guide – Sydney Snorkelling (Experience Sydney Pty Ltd)
Join Sydney Snorkelling and spend your summer sharing the underwater magic of Clovelly Beach, Gordon’s Bay and Little Bay.
We run small-group guided snorkelling tours for locals and visitors and we’re looking for 2–3 new guides to join our team.
What you’ll do
- Lead 1.5-hour guided snorkelling tours with groups of up to 8 guests (up to 3 tours per day + setup, cleaning and travel).
- Deliver friendly, engaging safety briefings and ensure everyone feels confident in the water.
- Share fun facts about Sydney’s marine life and local spots (we’ll train you on these)
- Take underwater photos and videos of guests during tours.
- Help guests with gear setup and pack-down.
- Transport and clean snorkelling gear (paid travel time from and to Manly Vale).
Location & Travel
Our gear is stored in Manly Vale, where guides start and finish their day. You’ll pick up equipment there, drive to Clovelly Beach for 8:10 a.m., and return the gear afterward.
We know that some applicants may live further away from Manly/Manly Vale - for example, in inner-city areas - so please note this involves some travel.
If you love the ocean, don’t mind the drive and have your own car, we’d love to have you on the team.
What you’ll need
- Confident swimmer and snorkeller with rescue ability.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to complete before starting; one-day training).
- Full driver’s licence and your own car.
- Available for casual shifts from November to March (exact duration is adaptable).
- Friendly, responsible, and customer-focused.

Nice to Have
- Freediving or Scuba Diving certification.
- Surf Rescue Certificate / Bronze Medallion (SLSA).
- Experience in underwater photography.
- Background in tourism, recreation or guiding.
