About West Group

West Group is an established HVAC/mechanical and refrigeration services contractor based in Minto, NSW. We deliver projects and services for major national retailers and commercial clients across NSW.

Our HVAC project pipeline in retail is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead it.

The role

You'll run commercial HVAC projects in the retail sector from award to handover. The work covers current store fit-outs, refurbishments and plant replacements, delivered alongside tier 2 builders. You'll be based at our Minto office and spend time on sites across Sydney and NSW.

Key responsibilities

- Manage multiple HVAC projects end to end: scope, program, budget, procurement, delivery and handover
- Work closely with tier 2 builders, managing programs, site coordination, RFIs and progress meetings
- Own project financials, including cost tracking, variations, progress claims and margin
- Coordinate internal technicians, installers and subcontractors to deliver safely, on time and to spec
- Build strong relationships with builders, retail clients, consultants and store teams
- Make sure WHS is followed on every site: SWMS review, contractor compliance and site inductions
- Review mechanical drawings and specifications and manage design coordination and shop drawings




- Run commissioning and close-out, including DLP, O&M; manuals and as-built documentation
- Mentor junior PMs and supervisors and help improve our project systems

About you

- 5+ years' project management experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical services
- A trade background or relevant licence (e.g. NSW AC licence, ARCtick) is required
- Retail fit-out experience working with tier 2 builders is highly regarded
- Strong commercial skills: estimating, cost control, variations and contract administration
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willing to travel to sites across NSW as projects need
- Current driver's licence and White Card
