Ready to put your stamp on a growing HVAC service division?

An established mechanical services and electrical contractor is seeking a Service Manager to lead its Brisbane service operation.
With an existing service portfolio of approximately $1.2–$1.5 million, experienced, well tenured technicians and a dedicated Service Coordinator, you’ll have a solid foundation to build on. There is genuine scope to expand the team and client base, with autonomy to shape how the division operates.

The chance

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll oversee maintenance, breakdowns and repairs across residential apartment towers, commercial properties and smaller residential sites.

You’ll lead two qualified technicians, an apprentice and the Service Coordinator. This is primarily a management role, combining people leadership, technical support, commercial oversight and client relationship management.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, mentoring and developing the service team.
- Managing service contracts and maintaining solid client relationships.
- Supporting technicians with technical advice and escalations.
- Reviewing quotes, pricing, variations and additional works.
- Monitoring job costs,



gross margins and overall service performance.
- Working with the Service Coordinator to keep scheduling and delivery running smoothly.
- Recruiting and training additional technicians as the division grows.
- Identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts and secure new business.

About you

You could be an experienced HVAC Service Manager or an Account Manager with a strong technical background and the leadership skills to take ownership of a service operation.

People leadership is central to this role. You’ll know how to set expectations, support your team and build accountability while delivering a high standard of service.

You’ll bring:

- A strong HVAC trade or technical background.
- Experience working as a service manager, account manager or service supervisor.
- Experience leading people and managing customer relationships.
- Commercial awareness across quoting, job costing and margins.
- Familiarity with systems such as air-cooled chillers, VRV/VRF, ducted and split systems, and mechanical ventilation.
- An organised, proactive approach and the confidence to make decisions.
- A willingness to take ownership of service delivery and business growth.
