We're recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter or skilled Trade Assistant to join a specialist workshop focused on the repair, servicing, balancing and manufacture of industrial and automotive driveshafts.

This isn't repetitive production work. One day you could be replacing uni joints and diagnosing a repair, the next you could be machining, welding and manufacturing a complete driveshaft from scratch.

What's On Offer

$45 per hour

Permanent full-time position

Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm

Specialised mechanical and manufacturing work

Opportunity to broaden your skills beyond traditional fitting

The Role

Repairing and servicing industrial and automotive driveshafts

Welding and fabrication

Lathe work

Balancing and inspecting completed driveshafts





There is also the opportunity to learn the back end of the operation, including quoting and order processing, if you're interested learning something new and spending some time away from the tools.

What We're Looking For

Mechanical Fitter or solid mechanical experience

Welding experience – essential

Lathe experience – essential

Previous driveshaft experience would be highly regarded, but it isn't essential if you have the right mechanical, welding and machining background.
