About the Role An opportunity exists for a self-motivated, patient-focused individual with advanced communication and keyboard skills to join the Eastern Health Specimen Reception team. This role involves working across multiple Eastern Health sites, Box Hill, Maroondah, and Angliss Hospitals, as part of a rotating roster.

This varied position includes both front and back-of-house tasks such as receiving and processing specimens, liaising with medical professionals, and assisting patients with their specimen collection and related inquiries.

About you To be successful in this role you will possess or aspire to achieve:

Advanced communication skills both face-to-face and over the telephone

High attention to detail

Previousexperience within the Healthcare industry (desirable)





Demonstratedability to work autonomously with sound organizational and prioritization skills

Flexibility and adaptability to manage pressure within a changing work environment

Sound organizational skills

Reliability and punctuality

General computer literacy with knowledge of standard Microsoft Programs

Ability to follow instructions and problem-solve effectively

Additional Information:

This positionoperateson a rotating roster, including night shifts, weekend shifts, and afternoon and morning shifts.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
