About us Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.

About the role We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Crossmuller Manufacturing team based at our Somersby, NSW facility.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be working on state of the art equipment and will be responsible for:

Assisting in the design, assembly and installation of new and modified mechanical equipment and plant such as machine tools, components, controls and hydraulic power systems

Performing fault finding, field and laboratory tests and carry out complex computations and repairs on mechanical equipment including, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and mobile plant

Performing mechanical installation works in accordance to Site and Australian standards where required





Organising and overseeing inspection and maintenance of machine and plants to provide reports to management on estimated material costs associated with machine maintenance requirements

Performing Preventative Maintenance Tasks as directed by Mechanical Coordinators

As we continue to grow our operations, this role is also involved with equipment upgrades, installation of recent machinery and decommissioning of old machinery.

This is a full-time position. Salary for this position will be not less than $79,499 per annum.

About you To be considered for this position you will have:

Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience

Extensive experience in machine trouble shooting, problem solving and fault finding

Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic equipment

Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Condition monitoring techniques

Leadership & supervisory experience

Have worked in a continuous manufacturing environment

Project management

Troubleshooting and problem solving
