/n Who are we? /n Lumia Care (formerly Pop-Up Health) is a growing community healthcare provider delivering innovative nursing and healthcare services across South Australia. /n Now backed by national ownership through the Lumia Care Group, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth — creating new opportunities for our people while continuing to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. /n /n Role Overview: /n With continued growth, we are expanding our team and offering a highly autonomous, assessment-focused nursing role within the South Australian Criminal Justice System. /n In this role, you will provide short-term, on-site healthcare within SAPOL custody settings, with a strong focus on early intervention, clinical assessment, and risk management. You will be supporting detainee wellbeing through timely assessment and short-term clinical management within the custody environment where appropriate. /n You will be responsible for determining what can be safely managed within the custody setting over a 24–48 hour period, requiring robust clinical judgement, confident decision-making, and the ability to identify when escalation or higher-level care is required. /n This is a unique opportunity to utilise your acute assessment skills in a non-traditional healthcare environment while working autonomously with the support of an experienced clinical team. /n /n What You’ll Be Doing /n /n
- Deliver nursing care within scope of practice in line with AHPRA standards /n
- Undertake forensic testing (full training provided) /n
- Conduct Fit for Custody assessments in collaboration with SAPOL /n




- Provide clinical support to detainees and police officers /n
- Perform timely and accurate clinical documentation /n
- Liaise with GPs and other healthcare professionals /n
- Identify and respond to clinical deterioration or incidents /n
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development /n /n /n About You /n You’re an experienced Registered Nurse who is confident working autonomously, comfortable making clinical decisions, and motivated by meaningful, non-traditional nursing work. /n /n You’ll bring: /n /n
- Bachelor of Nursing /n
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration /n
- Minimum 3 years’ acute care experience /n
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills /n
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication /n /n /n Mandatory Requirements /n /n
- National Police Clearance /n
- Unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence /n
- Working with Children clearance /n
- Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling certificates /n
