Through Rio Tinto's partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Heavy Road Transport Fitter to join the Heavy Road Transport team at Gudai-Darri.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified tradesperson to perform planned and preventative maintenance across an extensive fleet of heavy road transport equipment. This is an ongoing casual assignment with potential for longer-term opportunities following an initial three-month period.
This FIFO role operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off dayshift-only roster from Perth.
Reporting to the Supervisor and working in a collaborative and exciting environment, you will:
Perform planned and preventative maintenance on heavy road transport equipment
Maintain Volvo, Scania, MAN and Isuzu trucks
Assist with the maintenance of Liebherr and Franna cranes where required
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase safety and reduce risk
Work safely in accordance with Rio Tinto policies and procedures
About You
Heavy Duty Fitter or Plant Mechanic trade qualification
Heavy Road Transport (HRT) qualification
Forklift ticket
Current Australian C Class Manual Driver's Licence
Experience maintaining Volvo, Scania, MAN and Isuzu trucks
Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Full Australian working rights
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and other testing
