As we move toward2.2 million tonnes per annum, production drilling accuracy becomes increasingly important. Our Long Hole Drillers are central to delivering quality stopes that drive predictable production and minimise dilution.
Working in technically varied ore bodies,you’lloperatemodernSandvik long hole production drills, drilling to tight tolerances and collaborating closely with geology and engineering to execute designed stope plans.
This is a role for operators who understand that drilling precision directlyimpactstonnes,gradeand recovery.
Key Responsibilities Operate long hole production drill rigs
Drill production ringsin accordance withdesign specifications
Maintain drilling accuracy to minimise overbreak and dilution
Conduct equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Collaborate with charge-up and technical teams to ensure stope readiness
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Strong commitment to safety and team-based work
Proven experienceoperatinglong hole production drills
Strong understanding of ring design and drilling accuracy requirements
Experience in remnant or technically complexstopingenvironments (desirable)
Commitment tomaintainingclean and productive working areas
Ability to follow procedures and work to plan
Current Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence
