Pure Desi is a family-owned Australian brand specialising in authentic Indian sweets, savouries, and hot food. We operate stores across Sydney, Kellyville, Brisbane, and Melbourne, with a growing online presence. Our products are made in-house using traditional recipes and quality ingredients.

The Role

We are hiring Customer Service and Packaging team members for our Brisbane location. This is a hands-on role that combines front-of-house customer interaction with back-of-house packaging and food preparation tasks. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

- Serve customers at the counter, answer product questions, and process transactions through the POS system
- Package sweets, savouries, and gift boxes to Pure Desi's presentation and food safety standards
- Perform light food preparation including portioning, plating, and labelling
- Restock shelves, rotate stock, and maintain product displays
- Maintain store cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene requirements
- Receive and unpack deliveries,



assist with stock intake and correct storage

Requirements :

- Previous experience in food retail, hospitality, or customer service is required
- Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, friendly approach to customer interaction
- Available to work a rotating roster across mornings, afternoons, and weekends
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, particularly with product packaging and food handling
- Must hold full Australian working rights -- visa sponsorship is not available for this role
