HSP provides student-centred, culturally responsive support through cultural camps and engagements, tutoring, mentoring and tailored Academic Support Plans (ASPs). Self-determination is the foundation of this approach. This includes connecting students with tutoring, supporting access to Academic Support Plan (ASP) funding, encouraging participation in cultural camps and engagement days, and providing additional guidance and referral support as needed.

Support is primarily delivered remotely through phone, email and text communication.

The role also involves attending up to six camps per year (3 days/2 nights each) and 12 engagement days across Newcastle, the Central Coast, Illawarra and Western Sydney.

Key responsibilities:

Build strong, positive relationships with students and families, providing regular support and check‑ins through phone, email and text.

Support students to access and engage with all aspects of the High School Program, including tutoring, mentoring, Academic Support Plan (ASP) funding, camps and engagement days. (Primarily via remote channels such as email, phone, text)

Support student onboarding processes when required

Support students transition to post school pathways when required

Maintain accurate records, case notes and follow‑up actions in Aurora's CRM and internal systems.

When required, attend schools and community events to strengthen partnerships and promote student engagement.
