The Opportunity /n This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and expanding resources business, working within a high-performing finance team and gaining broad exposure across financial reporting, tax, budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounting and technical accounting. /n The Role /n Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the Group's financial reporting and accounting functions. /n
Key responsibilities
will include: /n /n
- Leading and supporting month-end and year-end close processes /n
- Preparing accurate financial and management reports /n
- Taking responsibility for tax compliance and reporting requirements /n
- Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes /n
- Preparing and analysing budgets, forecasts and financial performance /n
- Supporting statutory and ASX reporting /n
- Assisting with half-year and full-year reporting /n
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis /n
- Managing and supporting external audit processes /n
- Assisting with technical accounting matters and Australian Accounting Standards /n
- Working across a complex multi-entity environment /n
- Providing financial analysis and insights to senior stakeholders /n
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting /n
- Contributing to finance projects and other ad hoc commercial initiatives /n /n About You /n We are looking for a CA/CPA qualified Senior Financial Accountant with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience. /n Ideally, you will have: /n /n
- CA/CPA qualification /n
- 5+ years’ relevant accounting experience /n
- Experience within a listed, mining or resources environment /n
- Robust financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge /n
- Experience across tax, budgeting and forecasting /n
- Experience with month-end, statutory reporting and external audit /n
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards /n
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines /n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills /n /n Experience with ASX reporting, group consolidations and complex multi-entity environments will be highly regarded. /n What’s on Offer? /n /n
