Join an established Australian flexible packaging manufacturer as a Printer Assistant. Our client operates a modern production facility in Melbourne's north, specialising in extrusion and flexographic printing across polyethylene films, delivering custom packaging solutions to major clients across Australia. This is a permanent, full‑time role working a day shift in a hands‑on, technology‑focused production environment where print quality and safety are paramount.

What you'll be doing: nn
- Assisting setup and operation of flexographic printing presses to production schedules
n
- Supporting ink preparation, mixing, and colour management
n
- Assisting with print registration, impression,



and colour consistency monitoring
n
- Identifying and reporting print defects to the lead printer
n
- Supporting press maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers
n
- Safe handling and palletising of finished product
n
- Completing production and quality documentation
n
- Learning flexographic printing operations through hands‑on experience
n

To be considered for this role: nn
- Willingness to learn and develop trade skills in flexographic printing
n
- Any relevant manufacturing, printing, or production experience is a bonus (but not essential)
n
- Machine operation experience is advantageous
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical processes
n
- Capable of manual handling tasks and palletising
n
- Strong attention to detail with genuine commitment to safety
n
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a team
