About the role n

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join a growing technology environment and take ownership across AWS, Azure, Infrastructure as Code, networking and cloud security.

n

This is a senior individual contributor role, ideal for someone with a strong infrastructure and networking background who has progressed into Cloud Engineering and wants to remain technically hands-on.

n

AWS is the primary focus , alongside Azure, with significant engineering work across Terraform, AWS Landing Zones, account creation and onboarding, cloud networking, IAM, security controls, governance and automation.

n

The organisation is entering a five-year hyper-growth program, creating significant opportunity to increase your technical ownership and progress towards Lead, Principal or Architecture-level responsibilities while remaining on the technical IC pathway.

What you’ll do n

n
- Design, build and operate secure AWS infrastructure using Terraform and reusable IaC patterns.
n
- Support and improve Azure infrastructure within a multi-cloud environment.
n
- Build and evolve multi-account AWS environments.
n
- Manage AWS account creation, onboarding, governance and guardrails.
n
- Design and improve AWS Landing Zones, including AWS Organisations, Control Tower or equivalent.
n




- Drive the adoption of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code across the setting.
n
- Design and support cloud networking across AWS and Azure, including centralised networking and connectivity.
n
- Implement IAM, network security, governance and automated cloud security controls.
n
- Build reusable Terraform modules, patterns and engineering standards.
n
- Develop automated infrastructure deployment through Git and CI/CD.
n
- Troubleshoot complex production infrastructure and cloud issues.
n
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Data & AI teams.

The role combines hands-on AWS and Azure engineering with genuine ownership across IaC, networking, security and platform standards.

What you’ll bring n

n
- Strong hands-on AWS engineering experience.
n
- Advanced Terraform / Infrastructure as Code capability.
n
- Experience designing and supporting multi-account AWS environments.
n
- Experience with AWS Landing Zones, ideally AWS Organisations, Control Tower, Landing Zone Accelerator or equivalent.
n
- Practical experience supporting Azure infrastructure.
n
- A strong background in infrastructure engineering.
n
- Strong networking knowledge, including routing, connectivity and centralised cloud networking.
n
- Good understanding of network security, IAM, cloud security and governance.
n




- Experience implementing security controls and guardrails through automation and IaC.
n
- Experience with Git, CI/CD and automated infrastructure delivery.
n
- Strong production troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
- The ability to influence technical direction and establish engineering standards while remaining hands-on.

Advanced Terraform, AWS infrastructure, Azure, networking, security, IAM and cloud governance are central to the technical requirements of the role.
