Senior Family Lawyer

We're looking for a Senior Family Lawyer to join a growing Family Law team based in Parramatta.

This role suits a lawyer with solid family law experience who can run matters with a high degree of autonomy and is looking to take on more complex matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The team advises on a broad range of family law matters including parenting disputes, property settlements, financial agreements, divorce applications, child support matters and domestic violence proceedings. Current matters range from negotiated settlements through to complex, high-conflict disputes involving significant asset pools and multiple stakeholders.

The Role
Manage family law matters from commencement through to resolution
Run a varied caseload across parenting, property and financial matters
Appear in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, mediations and negotiations
Draft court documents, affidavits, applications, submissions and legal advice
Work closely with senior lawyers and leadership across complex matters
Assist in mentoring and developing junior lawyers as the team continues to grow

What They're Looking For
Approximately 7+ years PAE
Strong family law experience




Experience managing matters autonomously
Robust advocacy, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Strong client relationship and communication skills
Someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues and contributing to team culture

They would also consider lawyers looking to step up into a more senior role if they have the right technical capability, client management skills and attitude.
