Karlayura Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Maintenance Electrician for an exciting FIFO opportunity at FMG Christmas Creek, Western Australia.

This role is based within a wet processing plant, and we are particularly interested in electricians with strong fixed plant maintenance and project experience. Previous exposure to instrumentation, commissioning and wet plant operations will be highly regarded.

We are looking for candidates with substantial hands-on maintenance and project experience, rather than those whose experience is limited to short-term shutdown assignments.

What's on Offer

- Pay Rate: $80–$85 per hour
- Roster: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Shift Pattern: 1 week day shift / 1 week night shift
- Location: FMG Christmas Creek, WA
- Start Date: 11 November 2026
- Duration: Initial 6-month assignment, with potential for ongoing opportunities
- Prospect to work within an established mining operation

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on fixed plant equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults across wet processing plant equipment.
- Maintain and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, electrical control systems and associated equipment.
- Support electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Assist with instrumentation maintenance and fault finding where qualified and experienced.
- Respond to plant breakdowns and support operational reliability.




- Work safely in accordance with site procedures and electrical standards.

Essential Requirements
- Current WA Electrical Licence.
- Demonstrated experience in fixed plant electrical maintenance within mining or mineral processing environments.
- Previous project experience involving electrical installation, maintenance or commissioning.
- CPR LVR (12 Months)
- National Police clearance certificate
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a maintenance team.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to meet site Mobilisation requirements.

Highly Regarded
- Previous wet processing plant experience – strongly preferred.
- Instrumentation and commissioning experience.
- Experience maintaining electrical equipment within mineral processing facilities.
- Previous FIFO mining experience.
- Experience working on long-term maintenance or construction projects.
