Casual Coach Drivers – Express & Charter Work

Bundaberg Coaches is seeking committed, reliable and professional casual drivers to join our growing team across our long-distance express and charter operations.

About the Role

Based at our Bundaberg depot, you will operate modern coaches across local, regional, state and potentially interstate services, depending on operational requirements.

Opportunities are available across charter work and our long-distance express coach services, including the Bundaberg – Brisbane – Bundaberg route.

The Bundaberg to Brisbane express service operates on a two-day schedule, with an overnight stay in Brisbane:

- Day 1: Depart Bundaberg at approximately 3:45 am, arriving in Brisbane at 12:30 pm.

- Overnight stay: Brisbane.

- Day 2: Depart Brisbane at approximately 1:30 pm, arriving back in Bundaberg at 10:20 pm.

Casual drivers must be flexible and available to work according to operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operating coaches across express and charter services

- Providing friendly, professional and reliable customer service

- Completing scheduled services safely and on time

- Conducting pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections

- Maintaining high standards of vehicle safety, cleanliness and presentation

- Following all road transport legislation, fatigue management requirements and company procedures

- Maintaining accurate trip and operational records

- Following instructions and working collaboratively with the wider team

- Representing Bundaberg Coaches professionally at all times

Essential Requirements





To be considered for the position, you must have:

- A minimum HR Licence

- A current Queensland Driver’s Authority

- A clean driving record

- The ability to pass regular drug and alcohol testing

- A strong commitment to safety and compliance

- Have an outstanding safety focus and commitment to fatigue management

- Be reliable, punctual and professionally presented

- Have excellent communication and customer service skills

- Be willing to learn new skills, apply training and follow direction

- Work effectively as part of a team to complete tasks safely and on time

- Be flexible and available to meet operational requirements

- Be comfortable with long-distance travel and overnight stays where required

Previous coach driving, passenger transport or charter experience will be highly regarded.
