About the role

- Entering and maintaining accurate information across Council systems, including Authority, CRM and records management systems.
- Coordinating stationery, materials and general office supplies, including purchase orders and supplier quotes.
- Assisting with staff, plant and equipment scheduling and works program calendars.
- Liaising with supervisors, contractors and suppliers to coordinate timing, deliveries and operational requirements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and the way we work.

You will have

- Demonstrated experience providing administrative support, preferably to management or within a busy operational environment.
- Strong organisation and time management skills,

with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with data and multiple systems.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- The ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential or sensitive information.
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to deal professionally with a wide range of people, including challenging or distressed customers.
- The ability to work collaboratively while also managing your own workload.
- A current driver licence.

Experience working in Local Government and an understanding of Council processes, legislation and regulatory requirements will be highly regarded, but not essential.
