About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join a leading banking organisation and play a key role in developing and delivering cutting-edge AI and data solutions across the business.
Working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Data and Technology, you will design, build and implement scalable solutions that leverage data, machine learning and emerging AI capabilities to solve complex business problems and improve customer and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy AI and machine learning solutions across a range of business use cases.
- Work with large and complex datasets to develop data-driven solutions and insights.
- Build and integrate AI/ML models, APIs and data services into enterprise technology environments.
- Support the development and adoption of Generative AI and emerging AI capabilities.
- Develop robust, scalable and production-ready data and AI pipelines.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Owners and business stakeholders.
- Translate business problems into practical AI and data solutions.
- Contribute to AI engineering standards, frameworks, governance and responsible AI practices.
- Continuously evaluate new AI technologies, tools and approaches and identify opportunities for their application.
- Ensure solutions meet requirements around security, privacy, scalability,
performance and regulatory compliance.
About You You will be an experienced AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or Data/Software Engineerwith strong hands-on experience developing and implementing AI and data solutions within complex environments.
You will ideally bring
- Strong software engineering and programming skills, particularly Python.
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning or AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of data engineering, data pipelines and contemporary data platforms.
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, NLP or other emerging AI technologies.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Experience working with APIs, microservices and enterprise technology environments.
- Understanding of MLOps, CI/CD and productionisation of AI/ML models.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience within banking, financial services or another highly regulated environmentwould be advantageous.
