About the role

We're looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Accommodation Officer to join our Accommodation Services team and help deliver world-class accommodation experiences across the Australian Open and Summer of Tennis.

In this role, you'll coordinate accommodation for a diverse range of tournament stakeholders, including players, media, umpires, and VIP guests, ensuring a seamless experience from arrival to departure. Working closely with hotel partners and internal teams, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional tournament services in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

This is a full-time max-term opportunity through February 2027, based in Melbourne.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Process and confirm accommodation bookings across multiple tournament stakeholder groups.
- Manage accommodation requests and maintain accurate booking records.




- Liaise with tournament hotel suppliers to coordinate accommodation requirements and ensure service delivery expectations are met.
- Prepare accommodation reports, including rooming lists, room releases, and post-event reporting.
- Maintain accommodation systems, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Reconcile accommodation-related charges and invoices following tournament delivery.
- Provide general administrative support to the Tournament Services Lead and broader Tournament Services team as required.

About you To be successful in this role you will have:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in hotel reservations, front office, or accommodation services.
- Experience coordinating accommodation for large-scale sporting, entertainment, corporate or major events.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience using accommodation booking systems; MeetingMax experience is highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and cultures.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to contributing positively within a team environment.
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia.
