About the role

This is a varied position combining administration, customer service and showroom support. No two days are exactly the same, and as your knowledge and confidence grow, there will be plenty of prospect to take on more responsibility.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting customers and assisting them in our showroom
- Answering phones, emails and general customer enquiries
- Entering and maintaining customer and job information
- Assisting with quotes, invoices and customer paperwork
- Booking appointments, measures and flooring installations
- Following up customers, orders and upcoming jobs
- Assisting customers with samples and basic product selections
- Maintaining sample registers and showroom displays
- General filing, scanning, printing and office administration
- Keeping the showroom, office and shared staff areas clean, tidy and presentable, including general day-to-day cleaning duties

About you

- Is friendly, confident and genuinely enjoys dealing with people
- Is organised and has strong attention to detail
- Is comfortable using computers, email and office systems
- Communicates well both in person and over the phone




- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Can work independently but also enjoys being part of a small team
- Has initiative and is willing to jump in when something needs doing
- Is keen to learn and isn't afraid to ask questions
- Can manage multiple tasks in a busy environment while keeping things organised
- Previous administration, reception, retail or customer service experience would be an advantage, but flooring industry experience is not required

Our showroom is busy, relaxed and customer-focused. We're a small, close-knit team and genuinely value the people who work with us. You'll work directly alongside the owners and experienced staff, receive plenty of hands-on training and have the opportunity to develop your skills across administration, customer service and the flooring industry.
