Administration Officer - Aviation Maintenance
$55,000 to $60,000 pro-rata part-time 6 month contract.
AVCRO PTY LTD is seeking a Administration Officer Monday to Friday roster based at our BNE Office at Hendra, QLD.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this part-time contract role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and front of house support for all departments across AVCRO’s Aviation Engineering departments and associated business functions. The position plays a key role in ensuring focused Office Administration support for our team on a six-month fixed-term basis. This varied role will provide front desk and general administrative support across multiple departments, helping to keep day-to-day office and field activities running smoothly and efficiently.
AVCRO is an Australian founded and based aircraft services company headquartered in Brisbane, Queensland. Established locally in 2015, AVCRO is an emerging Part 145 AMO providing aircraft Line, Base and Component Maintenance solutions to the aviation sector nationally. The ideal candidate will be expected to:
- Provide a welcoming and professional front desk service for visitors, employees, suppliers and contractors;
- Answer and direct telephone calls, manage general enquiries and coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence;
- Support meeting room bookings, visitor requirements, office supplies and general workplace presentation;
- Provide administrative support across multiple departments as priorities require;
- Prepare, format, proofread and maintain documents, spreadsheets, presentations, registers and records;
- Assist with data entry, filing, scanning, document control and routine reporting;
- Coordinate appointments, meetings and other administrative activities;
- Provide aviation 145 and 147 training administration support as requested;
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion; and
- Complete other reasonable administrative duties within the scope of the role.
About you:
- To be successful in this role, you will bring strong practical administration experience and a commitment to safe, compliant and efficient administration outcomes;
- Previous experience in office administration, reception or a similar support role;
- Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams;
- Robust attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work;
- Well-developed organisation, time management and prioritisation skills;
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills;
- A helpful, adaptable and team-focused approach;
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion; and
- Professional presentation and sound judgement when handling confidential information.
- Work with a growing Australian Part 145 AMO supporting national aviation maintenance capability;
- Support a skilled team in a hands-on, admin focused environment;
- Contribute directly to accurate, compliant and efficient administration outcomes; and
- Support continuous improvement across documentation, communication and administration standards.
Essential information
- The successful candidate must be able to pass an initial Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) test and maintain compliance with ongoing physical DAMP screening requirements;
- The role requires adherence to AVCRO’s DAMP policy, which mandates a negative reading for both drugs and alcohol at all times while on shift;
- The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), which includes a Police Check, for work within a secure aviation environment;
- A complete medical assessment and clearance may also be required to confirm fitness for the role; and
- The role may require travel as requested or required to support AVCRO’s broader operational requirements, including workshop, line, base or component maintenance admin support as directed.
