About the role

As part of the Animal Care team at the wat djerring Animal Facility you will provide high-quality care to a variety of animals while supporting the facility staff and visitors of the facility. The key responsibilities include:

- Providing daily animal care including feeding, cleaning, exercise, enrichment and husbandry.
- Monitoring animal health, behaviour and well-being and reporting any concerns
- Administering prescribed medications and assisting with veterinary care
- Providing friendly, skilled and compassionate customer service.

- Maintain accurate animal records
- Work collaboratively with the Animal Care, Customer Care and Veterinary teams to achieve positive animal welfare outcomes.

Let’s talk about you You will thrive in this role if you:

- have experience working with animals and a sound understanding of animal behaviour, welfare husbandry and safe handling.
- are a confident communicator who can provide excellent customer service,



including supporting people in challenging or emotional situations.
- hold a Certificate in Animal Care/ Animal studies or equivalent experience.
- have flexibility with working hours including weekday, weekends and public holidays
- work well as part of a busy, supportive and collaborative team
- can follow procedures, maintain accurate records and take accountability for your work.
