About the role An opportunity exists for an Apprentice or Trade Qualified Fitter Turner/Machinist with sound experience in the operation of Manual and CNC equipment including lathes and milling machines.
Key responsibilities
- Operate Manual and CNC lathes and milling machines
- Set and operate CNC Mills/Lathes with Fanuc Controllers
- Perform general fitting and machining with stainless and/or mild steel
- Read and follow drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Produce quality workmanship at all times
- Work unassisted and to deadlines
- Operate more than one machine at a time
About you
- Trade qualified Fitter Turner or Machinist
- Strong CNC Milling/turning skills
- CNC programming experience at any level
- Experience in general fitting and machining with stainless and/or mild steel
- Ability to read and follow drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Ability to work unassisted, work to deadlines and produce quality workmanship
- Team player with a good attitude
- Reliable with a outstanding work ethic and can do attitude
- Comfortable operating more than one machine at a time
- Weekend work availability
