To continue our growth and success, we are seeking a full‑time Apprentice Metal Fabricator to join our fabrication department.

As an Apprentice Metal Fabricator, you will work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and team‑based setting. This hands‑on role involves fabricating, assembling, and preparing metal components used in the construction of low voltage switchboards. Using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment, you will help ensure components meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Role Responsibilities

- Assist in the fabrication and preparation of metal components according to engineered drawings and schematics.
- Operate hand tools, power tools,



and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Align, assemble, and check components to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Follow daily production schedules and meet set KPIs.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
- Identify hardware and maintain stock levels as required.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced fabricators and supervisors.
- Participate in ongoing staff training and development.

Requirements

- Enrolment in (or willingness to enrol in) the Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Bentrol can assist with this process).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- An open attitude to continuous learning and developing hands‑on skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from qualified tradespeople.
- Reliability, dependability, and a positive work ethic.
