Organisational Context:

Crawford Constructions Pty Ltd has been operating since 1991 and specialises in roofing commercial and industrial buildings, residential houses, and farms. The company also provides licensed asbestos removal services in accordance with relevant legislation and safety standards. Based in Moree NSW, Crawford Constructions services Northwest NSW, spanning Moree and surrounding areas, with approximately 20 staff members.

Key Duties:

- Set up asbestos work areas, barricades, signage and exclusion zones.
- Assist with installation of plastic sheeting, drop sheets and containment.
- Wet down asbestos materials to minimise dust and fibre release.
- Carefully remove bonded asbestos materials under supervision.
- Package, wrap, label and prepare asbestos waste for transport and disposal.
- Clean work areas using approved asbestos cleaning methods and HEPA equipment.
- Assist with decontamination of tools, equipment and work areas.
- Wear and correctly use required PPE and respiratory protective equipment.
- Follow SWMS, ARCPs, site rules and supervisor instructions.
- Assist with loading and unloading tools, equipment and waste.
- Maintain good housekeeping and keep work areas clean and organised.




- Report hazards, damaged PPE, incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Complete general labouring duties associated with asbestos removal and demolition works.

Requirements:

- Hold a current Certificate in CPCCDE3014 Remove non-friable asbestos

CPCCDE3015 Remove friable asbestos

- Construction White Card.
- Drivers Licence
- Willingness to travel for work at times.
- Ability to correctly wear respiratory protective equipment and complete required fit testing.
- Understanding of asbestos hazards and safe work practices.
- Physically capable of performing manual handling and labouring duties.
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- You must be able to follow instructions

Conduct asbestos removal works, including the safe removal, handling, packaging and disposal of asbestos-containing materials, in accordance with company procedures, SWMS, Asbestos Removal Control Plans and site instructions. The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the prospect to progress to full-time employment for the right candidate.
