About The Role The Policy and Project Lead, Reform is responsible for leading complex policy, reform and strategic project work that supports the delivery of key priorities across the Schools and Preschools Division. Reporting to the Manager, Reform and Strategic Projects, the role provides high-level leadership and advice to drive the planning, implementation and oversight of significant reform initiatives, including reforms arising from the review of additional sites, services and programs.

Working across schools, preschools, corporate divisions and government agencies, the role leads collaboration, governance and evidence-informed reform activity to support improved outcomes for children and young people. The position contributes to divisional and departmental priorities through solid policy judgement, stakeholder engagement and strategic project leadership.

Qualifications

Essential: Nil

Desirable: A tertiary qualification in public policy, project management, business, education, public administration or a related discipline.





Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO8 $130,046 - $134,956 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
