About The Role The Professional Learning Design Officer is a strategic leadership role within the Curriculum Connections and Engagement directorate, responsible for driving best practice in professional learning across the Division.
The officer takes a leading position in the research-informed design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of high-quality professional learning (PL) programs for system leaders. The primary objective is to ensure divisional projects and programs are effectively translated into impactful professional learning experiences that facilitate changes in educator practice and lead to measurable improvements in student outcomes.
The Professional Learning Design Officer leads innovation in professional learning delivery, from large-scale summits and conferences to blended and digital learning platforms. A key focus is on utilising evidence-based evaluation methods for the continuous improvement of skilled learning offerings and to optimise the Division’s support for schools and preschools.

Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration ASO7 $116,089 - $125,490 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
