Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to support the effective asset management of a significant government-owned office accommodation and property portfolio.
Reporting to the Principal Asset Manager, you will manage an allocated property portfolio and support the delivery of asset programs, major and minor works, financial management and strategic property initiatives. You will apply best-practice asset management principles to ensure property assets effectively support broader operational and service delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide asset management expertise, advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the effective management of a diverse government-owned property portfolio.
- Identify and support the delivery of major and minor works projects, providing project management guidance and qualified input.
- Manage revenue and expenditure across the allocated portfolio, contribute to budget development and support the maximisation of investment returns.
- Manage property assets in accordance with relevant business strategies, policies and asset management principles.
- Undertake property inspections, which may include some travel.
- Review and contribute to asset and property management policies and strategies.
- Analyse property information and data to support informed recommendations and decision-making.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefing notes, correspondence and submissions for senior stakeholders.
- Represent the team at meetings,
external events and relevant industry forums.
- Identify property and portfolio risks and support appropriate mitigation strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience applying best-practice asset management principles across a large and diverse property portfolio.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, review and present accurate property data and provide informed recommendations.
- Experience managing projects and programs of varying scale within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- An understanding of how property and asset portfolios contribute to broader organisational strategies and government initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, senior managers, clients, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to adapt effectively to changing priorities and circumstances.
- Well-developed written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefs and correspondence.
Highly Desirable
- Current C Class Driver Licence.
