Our client is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support payroll, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end finance activities. Description The Assistant Accountant will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Key responsibilities include:

- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Supporting payroll processing and banking activities
- Preparing general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Preparing journals, financial reports, and supporting documentation
- Supporting statutory reporting and compliance requirements
- Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies and payment issues




- Assisting with audit preparation and continuous process improvements
- Maintaining accurate financial records and internal controls
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support finance operations

Profile To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of experience within an accounting or finance role
- Hands-on experience across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger functions
- Strong knowledge of month-end accounting processes
- Proficiency in MYOB and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Mandarin language skills will be advantageous
