ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will provide hands-on leadership across the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the orchard. You'll coordinate people and field activities, support horticultural and machinery programs and act as a key point of leadership on farm, including stepping up when the Farm Manager is away. DUTIES

- Coordinate daily field activities, work priorities and staff allocation
- Lead toolbox meetings and reinforce safe work practices across the site
- Support irrigation, nutrition, horticultural, machinery and harvest programs
- Monitor orchard conditions, field activities, hazards and operational progress
- Coordinate contractor and labour-hire inductions, training and compliance
- Assist with time and attendance approvals, purchase orders and stocktakes
- Work with the Maintenance Manager on machinery use and preventative maintenance

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- 3–5 years' experience in farming or horticultural operations
- Sound knowledge of irrigation, nutrition, fertiliser,



machinery and harvest programs
- A strong commitment to safe work practices and on-farm safety leadership
- Confidence leading and communicating with culturally diverse teams
- Good computer skills across email, spreadsheets and operational systems
- Sound literacy, numeracy, record-keeping and problem-solving skills
- Current driver's licence and the ability to step into broader farm leadership when required
